Reinventing Your Life Summary
Are you constantly falling in love with people who can’t commit to being there to support you? Are you lonely most of the time and do you feel disconnected even from the people who are closest to you? It is also possible that the thought that you are unworthy and incompetent has taken over your entire being. If you think so, you are probably caught in the “traps of life”.
Before introducing the “book Reinventing Your Life PDF Download”, it is appropriate to talk a little about the meaning of life traps and schemas. Traps are patterns that start in childhood and can affect you throughout adulthood. The origin of the formation of these patterns in the first place goes back to the relationship of the child with his primary caregivers and then to the treatment of others with him. Someone who is abandoned, over-cared for, or deprived as a child is traumatized in such a way that schemas become a part of their life.
Although the traps are long-term and deeply ingrained in us, we can change them with repeated practice. Jeffrey Young and Janet S. Klosko (Janet S. Klosko) are with you in this reading book to face the trap of your life, understand it and take a step towards personal growth.
The authors of this outstanding book first deal with the meaning of the live trap and introduce eleven common schemas, and also examine its origins in childhood. In each chapter, there is a questionnaire to help you evaluate yourself. Jeffrey Young and Janet S. Using experimental, cognitive, and behavioral techniques, Klosko provides solutions to eliminate these patterns.

This work was published for the first time in 1993 and was widely accepted by the audience and critics. Eloquent language and the use of numerous examples are among the things that distinguish the book Recreate Your Life from other works in this field. As the creator of the schema therapy approach, Jeffrey Young has no intention of making change look easier than it is. He tells us honestly that there are many obstacles in the way of change and we should expect to face them. This convinces us that the book Recreate Your Life will not be a clichéd or unrealistic work, and we are not going to encounter the strange words of some self-help books.

Who is Recreate Your Life Book suitable for?
If you are interested in self-help books and the field of schema therapy, this book can change your life.
Recreate selected sentences from the book of your life:
- Injuries to our self-esteem make us feel “shame”. Shame is a dominant emotion in this context.
- When you are too controlled, you are not allowed to express yourself. You suppress your needs and focus on the needs of others.
- It is important to vent your anger and sadness about what happened to you. What keeps your inner child frozen is your suppressed emotions.
- If your abandonment trap is strong, it is likely to affect other intimate relationships such as close friendships.
In a part of the book Recreate Your Life, we read:
“Social isolation” involves your connection with friends and groups. Social isolation necessarily refers to the feeling of being separated from the rest of the world and the feeling of being “different”. If you fall into this trap, you felt isolated from your peers as a child.
You did not belong to a group of friends. Maybe you had unusual characteristics that made you feel that you were somehow different. As an adult, you maintain your trap in life mostly by avoiding it. You avoid group socializing and making friends.
Maybe you felt left out because there was something about you that other kids didn’t accept. So you felt socially ‘undesirable’. As an adult, you may feel ugly, and unattractive, have low self-esteem, and poor verbal skills, are boring, or lacking in some way. You recreate your childhood isolation: you feel and act out an inferiority complex in social situations. The trap of social isolation is not always visible in people. Many people with this trap are very comfortable in intimate situations and have great social skills.
Their trap may not “show” itself in person-to-person relationships. Sometimes we are surprised when we realize how anxious and withdrawn they can feel at parties, classes, meetings, or at work. Restlessness is their characteristic, the characteristic of searching for a place to be accepted.
